Drift Evolution

When it comes to drifting in the US, the north west has one of the most well known communities in Grassroots motorsports and for a good reason. Style is extremely prominant and there is plenty of talented driving to go with it which makes for an awesome combo. Coming up from Reno I wasn’t too sure how it would go getting to interact with everyone as much as I would want to but the amount of appreciation and support that media got from all the drivers was unreal. One of my favorite parts of drifting is how welcoming and hospitable the entire community is and how happy they are to just be out there with a bunch of people who have a love for the passion the same way they do. The whole time spent there was just a celebration for the motorsport which inspired the title of Medford Matsuri. Since we can’t have everyone make every event we were only able to get the videographer up for the event but fortunately Brandon Hallmark from Gearbanger Studios was nice enough to send us some photos to share with you guys which you can enjoy below!

This brown FD RX-7 was sporting a one off body kit made from a Dmax Type 3 kit for a kouki S14 along with a JZ engine rocking not only a turbo charger but also supercharger which made for some beautiful sounds.

Another RX-7 running a 1jz. You can never go wrong with a GP Sports kit.

Both of these cars were fresh out the paint booth and did not hesitate to go straight into some tandems.

One of the most impressive things about the tandem of die cars is that they are out hucking corners with fitment better than most cars on air ride.

Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to get that perfect selfie.

This impreza was one of two rwd subarus at the event and was its last event before its big transformation coming up for bash to the future. Can’t wait to see how it looks!

Drift team savage came out with some the most uniquely equiped cars at the event. Just look at that clear rays factory wing!

There is no shortage of style when it comes to drift cars up in oregon.
